Have you ever drilled a hole in someone's exterior wall....

....without asking/telling them first?

On instructions from a building society I had to check wall ties.

This was a long terrace of '60s houses with a small grassed strip and then the pavement.

Had to park a few doors down.

Introduced myself and then went off to get relevant equipment.

Came back and drilled three places and check scoped and then knocked and tried to open the door to go in.

The blasted door was locked and I'm thinking what's going on. Then it dawned on me!

I've only drilled next door!!!
