A day or two ago, the winning couple won loads of prizes and turned down the chance to go for the star prize.
The losers came on and risked £200+ (it was a long time ago and worth quite a lot at the time). They missed out….but they would have won….a 3 piece suite! |

I like the way Tony Green slips in a moody treble twenty if the professional is having a nightmare on the bronze bully challenge.

The thread of which I am most proud was on this very subject. I remember entitling it, "I just watched an old Bullseye on Paramount" (which was wrong, it was on Challenge).
Must have been 10 years ago and despite looking for it even before the forum changed in 2010 and never being able to resurrect it. I also remember watching one show where the winners decided not to gamble for the star prize, so the pair in 2nd got the chance and declined it, so very unusually the pair in last got the chance. They declined it too!!!! |

They look really dated, to say the repeats are "only" 30 years old. The women in their 30's dress like women in their 80s do now.

Study - I remember that episode where all three couple declined the opportunity to play for the star prize. The last couple were two guys from Newcastle and wouldn't gamble £40!!!
Distinctly recall Jim patronisingly saying, "£40, that's a lot of money to a couple of Geordies" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Do they still show the episode with the contestant that was a serial killer?
![]() If only Jim Bowen had let him win the star prize maybe a few lives would have been saved ![]() |

That is some prize JC. The big would get feck all to fit him.
And what about winning a speedboat. I think they both lived in a tenement. ![]() |

Jim was a great presenter. Natural. Just shows you how the like's of Veron Kay are stealing a living.

Jim was an awful presenter, but thats what gave it its charm.
Found the episode when the dart player needed 15 from the last two darts for the star prize, and got two 1s. ![]() You can see Tony Green,Jim, his mate, and even Bully thinking WTF, what an idiot. Wouldn't suprise me if his mates still taking the p1ss 30 years on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuJ96LqZslg |

Its cool as phuck, its like something of a paradoy
Like when kitsch becomes good. I havnt seen it in a while but I remember it, they should stop being so pround and smash it back onto proper telly instead of contrived subsidised dancing or panel shows of bilge |

Yesterday he told the winning contestants that the caravan was 'double glazed and insulated throughout'

I went to uni with Jim's daughter. Apparently he was a right old c*nt. She begged him not to embarrass her by coming up to visit for her graduation in his Roller, but he did anyway since he was a typical working class done good, who believed it was his duty to show off the fruits of his success to all and sundry.
If you watch a few episodes of Bullseye, you can see that he can be a pretty snidey and spiteful man in some of his comments. |

I used to like it when he'd rub salt into their wounds by saying "Come and have a look what you could have won".
