I've just run a rag over my keyboard to clean it (no it wasn't that!) and now I can't see my open tabs at the top of the screen. I have to move my cursor to the top to see which tabs I've got open. I know I'm not explaining this very well, but I can't really put it into words.
I've tried googling it but there's loads of complicated steps to follow and I don't even know if I'm looking at the right thing. If you've experienced this yourself then you'll know what I mean.

Nor can I see the icons at the bottom of my screen, or the time and the battery logo in the bottom right.

I think you need to press the alt and down arrow together, then alt up, then f11

Next time.... the best way to clean your keyboard, is with a soft clean paint brush, and white vinegar (remembering to have the PC off)!
