To Britain's longest ever reigning Monarch ...

Yes. Well done, Ma'am.

Take a bow, Ma'am....outstanding service to our country. Hats off !

Oh God. Avoid the TV all day, forelock tugging alert!! The old cow's even knocked the migrant crisis off the headlines.

Should only last a day though. What happens when she goes to her greater glory. Do we all get a week off to grieve?

Will the Queen be taking in any refugee's ? she has plenty of rooms.

I don't think she likes foreigners, or the ghastly British, who can blame her.

Monarchy - anachronistic claptrap. trilby22 - royalist lickspittle.

"Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest."

Denis Diderot.

Elizabeth Windsor is the most-sacked Head of State in world history, having been thrown out of no fewer than sixteen nations

lfc, we have established you yourself are British, would do you dislike your own country and your own family so much ?

why*

Even the BBC website has started calling her "Her Majesty" rather than the queen - it's vomit inducing rivalled only by North Korea

I wonder if anyone has told her to fcuk off

Scandanavian I suggest you read minardis comment, that might give you a clue to the stupidity of the British working classss

I'm waiting for the day when it is calculated (as it surely will be) that the royal family costs this country more than it earns and that it has more personal wealth than ever imagined.
Then maybe more people will realise where much of their hard earned taxes and stoppages have been going.

We don't need anybody "reigning" over us.
As for how long..... So F'in what?

Why not put up a few hundred refugees in royal palaces, and pay for their food etc with some of the royal wealth?

Congratulations, Ma'am! (bloodsucking alien lizard who eats human babies)

She waved at me at Epsom.  I waved back.

glückwunsch

Live coverage of time passing now on multiple channels.

Makes me want to puke, who are these coonts?

I always wonder what would happen if when shaking hands somebody got her in an arm lock
Not me obv.
Then again Id not even turn out to see her, not that her as an individual hasnt been a great servant to the nation.
The question is should there be such an individual thats paid mighty well through the civil list?
For all those saying its hard work...I bet it is, but it beats going down the pit.

Back in 2012, independent brand valuers Brand Finance estimated The Monarchy is worth £44 billion pounds to the UK:

http://brandfinance.com/news/the-queen-gets-a-44bn-valuation-for-family-firm/

ffs

Britain has changed too much since her hey day, before in times of a crises the nation turned to the Queen, nowadays in times of a crises the nation turns to facebook to see what their friends are saying, Queens speech at Xmas gets a fraction of the viewing numbers it used too, they're more of a novelty for tourists then a so called "bedrock of British society", give me strength, a monarchy in 2015 is simply outdated, they should be phased out quietly.

I'd say you were damned lucky to have a pit! That other 'Lady' couldn't wait to close 'em!

Its a hollow institution from times past.
All the mock tradition arcs back to what the monachy used to be and that is simply tyranny.
The monarchy was about cliques giving grace and favour to those that fawned over them at the expense of the others.
Sacrificed were the sons of the families who had nothing.

She doesnt even write her own speach ffs.
The concept of monarchy was slapped down a long time ago only to have it dangling now for tourists to gorp at.

Best not to listen to the working classes and republicans on this, people don't trust them. And if they mock and criticize they dont deserve to be trusted either.

Lying on rough straw can be just as refreshing as refreshing as sleeping in the fanciest bed, envy is a kind of madness.

Whereas your lot ......?

Monarchy same as the Catholic Church here, a thing of days gone by, only people of a certain age defend either as they were brought up to respect/fear them and they belong to a generation of people who believe it as wrong to see anything but good in them

To your 11.56 post.

The one at 12.07 is being treated with the contempt it deserves.

Cork

Like,Politicians and anyone in power and/or authority

The Queen is calm, sreadfast, brave, and humble..something the majority of the British are not!..look at yourselvesclosely if you dare.

I wonder if she will wear her newly polished boots?

Because she's never had to worry, or do anything for herself,or anyone else, since the day she was born. Ffs !!

If I lived in a property worth 935 million pounds paid for by the tax payer, I would be humble too.

"UK" monarch reigned the longest?

At 23,472 days, James VIII of Scotland wins

Its most definitely a landmark day for Queen Elizabeth and her loyal subjects.

Ive often said that the people of Britain have been fortunate that liz is a decent individual, but that doesnt justify the role.
It simply states that the people have no say in it, but things could and have been very different.
Imperialism has had its day. Strains of her own family guarding power and acting like meglomaniacs resulted in the slaughter of millions.
I hope I never have to find out the answer to this, but I wonder what percentage of 'her servants' would stand and fight for her or the role her position plays today?
Not a large percentage Id guess, people have moved on. Ofc the armed services are sworn to, but how many would sign up?

I reckon conscription wouldnt work today either, the people are disinvested.

Not a monarchist nor do I particularly believe in God.  However, God save the queen, I hope she is always here getting up the noses of the loony left all day long.  Only costs us about a quid a year, worth a quid of anyone's money.

Should the Queen get an employee of the month award?
She has a great service record.  You never see her going to work drunk, or with a hangover.

That was weird, what I typed didn't appear with the quote!/
It was:

Why does not agreeing with having a Royal family mean 'loony leftie'?
Is everyone on this fhucking forum SO wrapped up in political standpoint that they are not allowed independent ideas without being aligned to a Political team?

or words to that effect.

How long before she abdicates and hands over to Charlie boy??

I reckon within 6 months

Yes, and if you took a small portion of their combined wealth you could likely cure world poverty in short order.

she been quoted saying she believes she was annointted by God

That sort of mentality harps back to 'Devine right' which ofc was simply cause and effect.
A king happened to be the victor so then decides God chose him, and all his actions from then on are sacred.
Bolox.

Reminds me of how Richard III blamed the wives of his opponents for his withered arm (accused them of witchcraft) and had the husbands locked up as a result, thus eliminating threat to the throne.
All a set of greedy power hungry funk nuts.

No doubt she will add a few more runs to the total just to make sure her name gets remembered in a less than certain future for monarchy.
Strange innit, Rooney gets top goalscorer, queenie gets most days racked up and mayweather equals most undefeated, all within same week.

Why does not agreeing with having a Royal family mean 'loony leftie'?

The Republican party in US would beg to differ.

Monarchy is just an anachronism. Not suprised she thinks she was chosen by god to lead the country and her own religion bonkers. Only surpassed by the forelock tuggers knocking one out over her

Did anyone see a quite bizarre story on BBC News last night? They showed VT footage of The Queen on a train and the newsreader said "Her majesty spent time talking with Nicola Sturgeon whilst Prince Philip looked out the window". What a man.

Check it out, it's 4:56 on this link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b068z9v3/bbc-news-at-ten-09092015

sit on yer @rse

keep watching till end

I felt sorry for the Queen being stuck in a railway carriage with Nicola Sturgeon. Prince Philip had the right idea. Ignore her and maybe she'll p1ss off.

Spot on Clerkmore.

Absolute rancid individuals!

In those 63 Years, as Head of the British Armed Forces,
The British Army has always been involved in some Armed Conflict somewhere in the World,
Some Record.

That might well be down to Thatcher, Blair and Cameron, plus others of that ilk.

...and the last monarch to lead into battle was George III

Fantastic that HM is still working hard for the nation.
Get yer wee flags out and washed ready to wave in celebration.

Without the working class, there would be no LFC.

ALL royals are simply descendants of the hardest thieves in the county, who battered into submission and outstole their rivals and eventually became kings and queens, self chosen appointees of God. To prefer someone like that, born into untold wealth and privilege, over a hard working, working class woman like Sturgeon doing her best for her country shows what a complete and utter ignoramus you are.

Sturgeon doing her best for her country WALOB!

Doing her best for herself playing on the doubts and fears of decent & honest Scots, more like.

Her and her partners in crime Salmond, Swinney et al lying to us all.

Not all Scots are complete mugs, Ali Baba and the SNP "utopia" shall soon be shown up for the bullshine that it is.

Have a nice day

You lost get over it.
