Nowadays it's dominated by brown eyed people with dark hair. The UK really has changed in 40 years, what will it be like in another 40 years.

In a similarly retro vein:

What's brown and 8 foot tall?

The bird in "the joy of s*x"'s lawn.

Only 6 minutes until the BBC 10pm "let all refugees in" advert.

When I was a lad the news was a summary of what had been happening in the UK,now it is an emotional pull of the heartstrings anywhere in the world session and if we can all siwtch off feeling guilty it will have been worthwhile.

Maybe I'm showing my age but in my day there was a lot more international coverage, mostly about the Empire of course, the boer war and so on. In those days delicate flowers like Jemima Corbyn wouldn't even have got the vote, damn those suffragettes.

Well in those days women had to be in bed by 9pm or you were allowed to admonish them with a spanking. So when they went to bed the men would sit in the drawing room in our smoking jackets watching "Strumpetstation" on the BBC, puffing furiously on our pipes and cigars, trying not to give in to the devils temptation to touch our contrifibularied whopsadasies.

We didn't need to stand to attention for the national anthem, we already were.

The main reason we came down so hard on the miners strike was when the coal shortages lead to BBC shutdown at 8:30, and we had to go back to looking at pictures of native women with their bits out in the encylopedia britanica.
