Not Boyle again please his films were no way near as good as the books.

The book was better but the film was pretty good too, tbf.
I reread Porno a couple of months ago, as it happens, so will be well up for seeing the film. |

Not a Boyle fan either but he did nowt wrong on the original imo. Was disappointed by Porno anyway, so not expecting too much.

It is no69. It's not a patch on Trainspotting though. There's a prequel too (Skagboys) but I've not read that.
While we're on it, I saw Filth recently. That wasn't nearly as good as the book either but the guy playing Robbo, whose name escapes me at the mo, was excellent. |

Yep a sequel to trainspotting, I've not read it. Skag Boys is the prequel to trainspotting and is ball achingly good. Almost as good as trainspotting itself.

Thought filth was a decent film, but yeah the book was awesome too. Glue another brilliant book by Welsh. Wasn't so impressed with his more recent effort "Crime".

Didn't think Porno was much cop - plot spoiler alert -
but how Renton kept missing Begbie every time he went out was pushing credulity to its limits. |

All 3 are cracking books, sure Boyle will do a good job with the film - Sick Boy is probably a bigger character in Porno, and hopefully gets more screen time than in Trainspotting - the best character of the lot for me

Skagboys was the better book better even than trainspotting. I used to think the film was good until I read the book, Boyle total gets it wrong with how much of a lunatic begbie is and how much is hated but used by the gang. And what can I say about ceeemon(sick boy) a complete and utter coont uses everybody but you can’t help liking him, he is second fiddle to Renton in the film but shines in the book.
