I'm a member of Alcoholics Unanimous.  If you don't feel like a drink another member pops over to persuade you.

I love the banter and various things said on chit chat, but I if you are an alcoholic its not a fun thing.
I feel extremely sorry for anyone who's life is currently being made impossible by drink and how it affects those around them.

I am an alcoholic and have been clean for nearly 3 years,if anyone wants any advice or help getting in touch with AA or understanding what they do you can message me or post here.

All that said I do find humor in it its one of the things I do to help me not drink,my wife and I take the pi55 out of me in a fun way about it,I dont take it seriously and wallow in what has been.

Hope you all have a good day:)

Although no thread, it has been mentioned many times. Doo Wah got sober via AA and so did I. It helped turned my life around and I met my now wife there too.

Is it not a bit religious and preachy? Can't remember how I got that impression.

Laugh last thing I remember doing last night was U-tubing Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show.

Woke up this morning with "Queen Of The Silver Dollar" in my mind.

TommyBarnes - thank you for your post.

This is what I'm talking about!

Don't you just hate it when a well thought out & long written post goes missing in the ionosphere?

I think I've made the mistake more than once of typing up a post and then hitting "reply" instead of "submit" then losing it as I change page :(

I sometimes copy a long post to clipboard before submiting, a habit I got into from using webmail and losing big emails.

Yes, that's exactly what happened here!

Angry I wrote a long post here, hit "POST" and the wee whirly thing started whirling.

Hit F5 to refresh and my post evaporated.

This should be the alcy fred, imo.
