Blondies on the 'miracle mile' in Planet Hollywood should have the game if it's being shown on a US station. Had a few Eurpoean games on in the morning at the same time when I was there.

There is a British pub just off the strip Crown n Anchor which shows plenty of football, decent grub and good atmosphere.

Go to a nice casino, sit in the Keno (in-house bingo, but more chances of winning) area and play. Lovely waitress will come round with free drinks every 10 min.
You can play a game for as little as $1 I think. You might even win something. New game every 10 mins. Makes for an inexpensive evening out ![]() |

Seems there are two Crown & Anchors. The one I went to was showing England v Portugal Euro 2004. Sol Campbell disallowed goal….
![]() That one is turn off the strip and head east from MGM grand. |

To OP
Spend an evening in the Fremont Street area, worth seeing the older casinos there (but don't go to glitter gulch - its really sh1te). Hugo's Cellar in the four queens is good for a steak dinner. If you like wine, the sommelier is from Leeds and will find you a nice bottle in your price range. If you play the video poker you get free drink, (but tip the barman a $1) so you can do a pub/casino crawl with everyone putting in $20. If you get to $30 or fall to $10 cash out. Overall you won't lose much and get a load of free drink. If you play golf Rhodes Ranch is pretty reasonable and an ok course. Should be about $100 for club hire and buggy, $50 for a taxi. Bellagio brilliant for breakfast buffet (you'll prob wake up v early first couple of days and then you'll be on vegas time, which can mean anything...) def try to see a couple of shows. They're expensive but really well done. |

Get a loyalty card from your hotel/casino or the place you intend to bet at. The stuff they offered me and the wife was fantastic, but we didn't ask for anything until the last evening - they gave us 4 tickets to the grand bugget (MGM Grand) which should have been $25 each, and we could have had our room for an extra half day (worth $60). We were only there 4 days and didn't bet a huge amount (although most of it was on a $10 a spin fruit machine, so maybe they thought I was a high roller - lol).
As said above, drink is free. One night we were bored gambling so the 4 of us got a cup full of quarters and sat round a machine, playing it as slowly as we could be bothered, just sat talking mostly. Gave the waitress a $5 tip each round, she was all around us all the time. Everyone's a winner. What you will find is if you tip them good, they walk past regularly - if you are tight, they always seem to walk down the other isles. |

Yes, if you learn to play an easy video poker game such as Jacks or Better and learn which are the better pay-tables e.g. 9/6 then sit there and slow play and get your drinks "comped" just make sure you keep tipping the barman each time. Some of the paytables on the bar top video poker are pretty shocking though, so be careful what you play.

The Aria sportsbook area is phenomenal. Don't know how much English footie they show but it is getting more and more coverage all the time in USA so some channels will no doubt have a lot of games on and being as most will be morning or early afternoon, plenty of chance of seeing more than you would have thought.

Willy Hills run sportsbooks in Vegas. Give their customer services a ring and they'll fill you in.

they sure will fill in your account if you dare to win.....

I watched Villa Arsenal a few years ago on Boxing Day I think, at the MGM Sportsbook on a HUGE screen.

I found it impossible to get a bet on the Euro qualifiers when I tried a few casinos on the strip but there's a William Hill run sportsbook upstairs of a casino on Fremont Street that had loads of betting on football available.
As mentioned above Blondie's beside Planet Hollywood shows all type of football. We went to see Ireland v Scotland at 9am and there was 20 or 30 others there watching it. Plenty of other matches showing on other TV's at the same time and the girl behind the bar was smoking! even my wife mentioned how hot she was ![]() |

Exactly what I want to do when I am on holiday in Las Vegas.
Get a bet on the footie and watch it on TV. Much better than being at home. |

Seriously scary stuff for the passengers on that British Airways plane which burst into flames at Las Vegas when it was just about to take off. (think I'll stick to Virgin Atlantic !).
About 14 taken to hospital but apparently nothing too serious. Experts say chance of that happening was ‘a million to one’, leaving passengers devastated not to have put a few quid on it. |

Had a brilliant time and already looking to go again, watched a few games in blondies(great shout) and loved freemont st(another great shout) and is a must to visit if you go out there. Ended up actually winning a few quid gambling, although a lot of that came down to me drunkenly having 300 dollars on stoke to beat " born mouth". Brilliant place and anyone who hasnt been its a must visit. Cheers again for previous replies

@Ron-Russian -- its not all about betting, opposite mgm grand in new york new york
you have gallaghers steak restaurant, prob the best steak ive ever had. Or go and see a show. Everyone is there from Elton John to Britney -- friends just got back from seeing Penn & Teller. Not to mention there is all the usual holiday resort stuff like drinking cocktails by the pool. But don't waste your air miles on steak because the best steak in the world is served in London: Dinner by Heston. http://www.dinnerbyheston.com/ Though it probably would be cheaper to fly to Vegas. |

"....people say they can only stay there a few days...."
Bit longer than that, week to 10 days, 2 wks max. It is so full-on, I absolutely love the place but couldn't handle a long holiday there, wk to 10 days for me. Agree, not all about betting, wife came and she enjoyed it, because she could go off round the shopping malls while I was playing poker. We went to several shows but she went to 2 shows by herself, so she had her time and I had my time and it worked out fine. We did go to the Grand Canyon together ! That was absolutely brilliant, most amazing place. Been to Vegas twice and would certainly go back again. |

Vegas is an awesome city to visit. TheHotel, part of Mandalay Bay, a really nice boutique-style hotel btw. Great food, nightlife, shopping, swimming pool complexes, luxury spas and, of course, a wide choice of gambling. Also, if you go you should take time out from Vegas for a road trip & explore some of the amazing landscapes nearby; not just the Grand Canyon (North Rim better btw if you prefer more wilderness & off the beaten track and less touristy than South Rim), but also there's the Valley of Fire for amazing sunrise/sunset - where Tony Soprano went, high on peyote - Death Valley, Zion, The Joshua Tree NP, and further afield Canyonlands/Arches NPs, Monument Valley (where a lot of car ads are shot)… just a wonderful part of the world.
