Why is it taking so long to be released?  It's been trailed for over a year already and just learned it's not due out until some time in 2016!

Probably needs a lot of editing and post production work.
A brilliant cast, but as the director was responsible for Johnny English and the St Trinians turkeys, the producers
want to make sure it lives up to the hype.

Because it will be a massive failure.

The tv shows were funny when people didnt know any better.

Its got Julia Foster in it as Dolly Godfrey!

Fine perhaps to have half an hour of it, as background for your supper, but an hour and a half will be far too long to sustain my interest for sure!

How funny are Mr Bean's half hour episodes, but the movie was dire, for me at least!

I read somewhere that three of the original actors are making cameo appearances, ian lavender who played
Pike, the bloke who played the vicar ( must be in his 80s)  and the bloke who played Mr Blewitt ( don't remember him)..

I didn't realise that the original actor who played the spiv died young, only 43 or something, I thought he might have been one of the survivors.

Mr Blewitt!  The actor who played him was about 105 in the original Dads' Army.

only survivors are pikey and the rev as far as i know.  The rev was only mid thirties when it first went out, despite looking a lot older.

Most of them went in the eighties, then don't think anyone died for about 25 years until the last few years when we lost Jones, Mrs Fox and the ARP Warden.

One of the writers is still alive.
