That is to say nothing of their sickening double standards.
All week we have been treated to this nest of vipers regaling us with tales of 'good v evil' as Usain Bolt took down Justin Gatlin, how the Jamaican 'saved his sport,' how Dai Greene 'can't stand the sight' of Gatlin.
Then, to illustrate Greg Rutherford's achievements in holding all four of the titles available to him, we are treated to another one of their self-indulgent no-added-value montages of the other four Britons to have achieved this feat - interspersed with footage of Linford Christie parading round various tracks after his phoney triumphs.
And before and after, we have to listen to Denise 'you know and stuff' Lewis making Tanya Stevenson sound like Doris ****ing Lessing.
My blood is boiling at these nincompoops.

Johnson is an excellent pundit. The rest are shocking. Denise Lewis and Colin Jackson should be no where near a microphone. Athletics is on its knee's i reckon. The **** spouted about bolt maybe saving his sport was total and utter nonsense. The fact that at least three of the nine finalists in the 100m final had served at least one ban is a damning indictment on the sport. Also there is no way we have heard the last of the going's on with Mo's coach. Once the fbi get involved people with start singing. Athletic's is at a cross roads the way cycling was. Unless they hand out severe punishment's for cheater's then the sport is doomed.
Getting a one to two year ban mean's nothing. Also during these ban's are the athlete's tested. Because if not what's to stop them doping and coming back even better. Epo was found only because someone sent it to the tester's. Micro doping is prevalent i bet and also i'd say athlete's are coming more clever. Coe said he wants to beat them. Unless its five year's plus for cheater's then you have no chance of beating them.

One strike, and one strike only. Caught doping, find another career. Even five years is not enough - Mohammad Asif will be playing for Pakistan this winter, when not only has he been caught selling cricket down the river, he has also corrupted a youngster just starting out.
Still better than Barry Hearn I suppose, handing out twelve-year bans to some, and off-season six-month bans to others - just like the BHA with Chemical Nicky.

Yeah i agree one strike and your out is the way to go. These one and two year bans are no good. As i said it probably allows the banned athlete's to do more doping without been tested. I can think of one athlete who got banned and came back a completely different athlete and started winning when they hadn't in the past. I used to love athletic's now i don't really care who win's. Either they fight the cheater's or the sport with die.

Trouble with the lifetime ban thing is that you just get long, expensive legal battles where the lawyers get rich, such as the Butch Reynolds and Dwain Chambers cases.
In the UK and USA you still have be part of the testing system if you want reinstatement. Don't know about other countries.

Spending the past few days glued to the huge event as usual
But so much of my time - looking at eyeballs of medallists - she looks amazingly bulked up - checking online that new personal bests, are a second over anything they've ever done before - where the hell did he/she suddenly come from - oh yeah....well done....but aren't you on the previously suspected/convicted list
I hate it (I love this sport) but I can't help myself

why don't they just have athletics, cycling, snooker, tiddlywinks etc. etc. a free for all ... you can take what you like ... it wouldn't make it less of a spectator sport would it ?

The punditry is fairly weak, you expect it with current athelete come studio guests like Perri Shakes-Drayton who had nothing coherent or interesting to say but more seasoned pundits like Lewis should be better, Johnson really is a first rate pundit, only only that really provides insight and technical knowledge, Daley Thompson is a good guy but seems a bit to nice and dim, Dai Green was being a bit of a drama queen with the whole "I hate Gatlin I can't stand the sight of him", as Johnson said, he is not the problem. Pretty much all of their 'expert pundits' are dull bar MJ.

Cram is excellent imo both as a commentator and as a pundit. I also was pleased to hear Dai Greene give such a strong condemnation even if he wasn't particularly eloquent.

Dai Greene was excellent, putting into words the thoughts of 'Everyman' when confronted with this grisly spectacle.
Yes there is more layers to this than an onion, but Greene was excellent in going out on a limb in the way he did, giving vent to the heartfelt thoughts of most of the viewers.
