I fancy a week in the sun next month but don´t know where to go.

Was in Can Picafort but that was a bit boring - I´m going alone and I´m over 50 - and last time I was in Cala Rajada, which was great. But this time I fancied trying somewhere else. Any one know where would be good?

I´m looking for nightlife but not the obvious places with too many drunken kids - or Brits - plenty single women over 35, and a place with a good beach.

We liked Cala millor, bit far out from the airport though.

went to Cala Millor for our honeymoon in 1970 - a lovely place, unspoilt.

Still together after 45 years (wife and me, not Cala Millor, that is) ...
went back to hotel we stayed at a couple of years ago and all signs were in German!

What went wrong?

Pollensa (port not town) is as nice as anywhere on the Island, no large high rise large hotels, beach is fine, plenty of places to eat out. Worth a check. I prefare it to Callor Millor having stayed at both a couple of time. That said it was a fair while ago. Enjoy whichever you choose.

10% of Mallorca inhabitants are German and around 4,000,000 Germans visit each year. Known as the 17th Federal State.

Also only 5 euro in taxi to magaluf/palmo nova if you want to venture. Yet you have the better beach and shops during the day
