...interesting stuff.....(I think its safe to post because pandorica is having his siesta......and the last thing I would want to be called is a "fruitloop")

..so Bin Laden...the boogeyman for more than a decade is not found in a cave in remote mountainous regions........

...instead he is found and "killed" in Abbotabad... in a relatively luxurious compound less than a mile from Pakistians premier and most prestigious Military Academy. ...(equivalent to West point in the US)

..and had been there since at least 2006

Perhaps the ISI and the Pakistani Military at said Military Academy simply aren't that observant....what with all the high class training they are undertaking and all....

...or perhaps Bin Laden was a Pakistani military and intelligence asset all along.

Of course.....if the latter is true...and if it is also true Bin Laden was behind the 9/11 attacks....it begs an obvious question......

...why was Afghanistan and Iraq bombed in retribution.........and not Pakistan??????!!!!!!

..I wonder if it is only the Saudis who are implicated in the redacted 28 pages....perhaps other countries are also mentioned??

i've seen this before. it was ok.

but it did burn a lasting image in my mind and that was how slowly and deliberately the special ops/ seal team moved, rather than the traditional beserking you see in war films.

i'm suspect that it's accurate.

Seen it some time ago, from what I remember I thought it was pretty good, fascinating documentary style on the hunt for Bin Laden.  I think the title Zero Dark Thirty was military term for 12-30 under the cover of darkness. As a piece of history I was enjoying the gripping detail, then all of a sudden that bloody John Barrowman was in it, can't stand that bloke, he seems to get in everything but how the hell did he get in this film. Only a small part, but anyway, pretty good film. I think most of the detail was fairly accurate, maybe the film dramatizes the true account to some extent.

It's not an action thriller and does get a little bit boring, but the last 20 minutes were really good - the raid on bin Laden's compound in Pakistan.

Try Lone Survivor with Mark Wahlberg if you want a modern war film - very vivid and graphic, tense right through.
