Can anyone help please.
I'm renewing my passport and where it says 'Country of Birth (including UK)' do I put down simply UK when UK isn't a country or do I put England?
I'm sure the answer is to put UK but technically the UK isn't a 'Country'?
I've even thought of putting England, UK but they're so finicky with the application form being perfect that I don't want to post it off and that parts wrong.
I'm sure you can appreciate my dilemma.

The Uk is the country, England - Wales - Scotland - NI make up the sovereign nation of the UK.
The individual states are not recognised as official countries by the UN. HTH |

No probs - just be careful with the rest of it - they are unreal when it comes to picking up minor "errors" - most common ones are signature not entirely within the box, background of photo and hair covering parts of the face (long fringes etc).

If you put the passport through the post office (costs a few pound extra) its processed quicker (I think) because the post office run a quick check over it the passport office for mistakes.

I renewed via the Post Office a couple of years ago and was very impressed with the service. Took it along on the Monday with the new photos, new passport received on the Thursday. Old cancelled passport returned the next day.
