Channel 4 could do this as a rival to MOTD, look back on days racing and focus on the rides by a team of pundits - call it Snatch of the day and within that have a 'Whoa' of the month competition .

I remember watching England v West Germany on tv in the 1980s with Jimmy Hill as the anchor. Whilst running through the German danger men he asked "What about that Rummenigge?" to which Garth Crooks replied "What rumour is that?"

in the north east in the 70,s there was a footie highlights show on a sunday called shoot, intoduced by a bloke called george taylor and before every goal they used to stop the recording and taylor would come on mike telling you to watch out for a great goal,goalkeeping blunder,etc,etc
