Shame the driver didn't make it to Calais. Maybe this could be discussed as a strategy at the next Cobra meeting.

Police said it had removed the motorway's central reservation so motorists could turn around and get off the motorway.

Aside from the ridiculous expense, and inconvenience, this is what I've been saying from the start, of the "Arnco" being replaced with solid concrete barriers, for mile after mile, on the M62 in West Yorkshire.
Can't dismantle them for emergency vehicles and to get traffic to the other carriageway.

It's a ridiculous concept costing Zillions, and has been going on forever.

Fifty mph for twelve miles or more, night and day, even when no workers present!

Maybe they will put in gates?
By:

When: 11 Aug 15 12:19
Yeah, that would be nice, and in the style of "Kissing Gates", with some nice hanging baskets and tubs.....
By:

Wouldn't that be a distraction?
