he's entirely right. what sort of c*** goes to the theatre to make a **** recording of the performance on their smartphone?
|
|
By:
overrated as an actor maybe, but entirely justified in this matter imo
|
|
By:
it must really piss off other members of the audience as well, e.g. those sitting behind the idiots doing the filming

I've been towards the back of the audience at concerts and all I could see was a sea of blue rectangles. I agree with him entirely, recording should be banned.

Then they need a filming hood to cover the phoneand head and a piece of black tape to cover the front red light.

"But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?"
"Tis an iPhone, Romeo!" |

..a little precious but agree with the general point...
....seems as if modern technology has lobotomised many people to the extent that they no longer have the ability to immerse themselves in an experience.....whether a play...or concert....or museum....or gallery..... ....without resorting to experiencing them through a prism that is removed from themselves....... .....perhaps many people go to these events or places just to say they have been there........and/or to look cool on social media once they have reported back to their "friends"........... ....almost as if they there is no intrinsic value in the play...or concert....or museum....or gallery....unless it can recorded and proved and broadcast to the world that they were actually there!!!!!!! |

"Cumberbatch - Precious Primma Donna?"
Don't agree at all, for years now in the theatre there has been a strict rule not to use phones or take pictures during a performance. Very annoying for the audience sat near some **** using a phone during a performance, and very annoying for the actors on stage seeing red lights pointing at them. Cumberbatch was just making the point and politely asking them not to do it. |
