got an irrigation system in garden to water plants, its times to come on early morning. when comes on makes a bit of a growling sound within the boiler in kitchen ( possible air lock ? ), this lasts duration of watering ( about 5 mins ). its only time makes this noise, ie domestic use etc no noise whatsoever.
any ideas please ?

nah , just a small area basically , saves going around watering individually

just swicth it on before you go out, should solve it.

I'm assuming you have a combi boiler!

From memory, the minimum mains pressure for them is 1.5 bar, so it could just be grumbling that it is being denied that pressure.

Having said that I would have thought that running any cold tap would cause the same problem.
