My dads pc is crashing regulary on firefox with the abode flash player.
Is there a certain version of box that works ?

Chrome is carp...latest version of Firefox is 39.0 so you should be on that.

yea but if he is on windows 8/8.1 it dont come with a media player ,adobe wants to take control and has issues ,there are alternative players ,some will do things better and do stuff that adobe wont .
there is some hidden do das in adobe that prevent some things and i believe there are players out there that can get round this . was a decent thread a while back and some folk suggested generic players that worked ok for them . getting adobe to install on fire fox can be a pain ,do you really need adobe is it not just another unwanted intrusion . fire fox is currently blocking it i think due to security issues ,also be careful ort you end up with toolbars and search engines you dont want ,it wants to constantly update and try and instal these bars and engines . |
