I know a lot of it is tongue in cheek - and I am as bad as most - but reading the forum you would think we are all Human Rights Lawyers (offering our services for free obviously) who look like a cross between George Clooney and Brad Pitt who, when we are not posted overseas working in war zones for Medecins sans Frontieres volunteer at the local homeless centre before going home to tend to our animal shelter.

Not very tolerant of migrants trying to to get in to UK

I saw a sky news twitter release about the migrants yesterday, and someone in the replies had said they should let all of them into the tunnel and then drive a train through at high speed with chain saws on the side, so I think we're quite a moderate bunch in comparison to some.

My view - as a casual forum user - is that he is a racist bigot. Numerous ridiculous posts about various subjects such as "why don't p@kis get done for not sending their kids to school..." etc.
Life is too short to get into a ruck with someone on an anonymous internet forum - if he wants to wade through all his posts I'm sure he can find plenty to back up most peoples opinion.
Personally, I would not ban him - it was occasionally entertaining but the fact he is banned suggests he may have upset many people.
As you are in constant contact with him by phone and email, you may know him as a tolerant and level headed guy.

Spelling posted what most thought and called into question the reporting habits of the media.
As I said - he was occasionally entertaining and perhaps his views were shared by some - which is absolutely their right.
Hopefully his views on race etc were not "what most thought" but if they were, so be it.

Definitely not. Immigration is killing this country yet you are deemed a racist if you point this out.
imigration actually helped us through subprime relatively unscathed (employment wise)compared to most fo our eurozone buddies mainly because we managed to use eu migrants to keep wages reasonably low during the end of the boom years.
we will get our crisis when those immigrants decide things are better back home or in another eurozone country who have a better life for them.
