PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS REPORT CONTAINS AN EXAMPLE OF HEINOUS RACISM AND ALL THAT IS WRONG WITH THIS FINE CALIPHATE WE CALL ENGLAND

A man who attached 'offensive'  stickers to chickens LaughLaugh in a Sainsbury's supermarket has been given a four week curfew.

Liam Edwards, 29, admitted racially aggravated criminal damage.

The van driver placed stickers on chickens at a Sainsburys store in Salford which read 'Beware, halal is barbaric and funds terrorism.'

He insisted his protest was against the ritual slaughter of animals, rather than being racially prejudiced.

Even by the pitiful standards of Modern Lefty British Justice this chicken story takes some beating.

Who on earth advised Edwards to plead guilty on the ludicrous charge of "racially aggravated criminal damage" ?  This nonsense needs to be appealed if possible, because I for one do not see how Justice has been served here.  Which 'race' supposedly provided the inspiration for his actions?  On what possible basis did someone elevate a concern with animal slaughter (and alleged links to the funding of terrorism) to a 'racist' offence?

This matter needs a root and brand review from the very top of the UK's Justice system.

Briatin is, once again, made into a laughing stock by such absurdity. The only case I can think of that is even more ridiculous than the above was when an elderly woman was arrested for what amounted to mere possession of a golliw*g, and then also farcically dragged to court on more fatuous "racially-aggravated" charges.

Her non-crime and the non-case went all the way to trial before no evidence was offered in court by prosecutors. Heads should have rolled for it.

Excellent post, Alun.

If somebody gets similar stickers manufactured I'd volunteer to apply them at my local supermarkets.

Cruel animal slaughter is legal, mentioning it is illegal! What a stupid country this is! He should get praise not a curfew.

Does anybody actually know if the poultry referred to WAS Halal? I'm not quite sure how Halal is supposed to fund terrorism.
I assume that the supermarket would have to remove these contaminated chickens from public sale.  By contaminated, I mean 'stickered'.
