foxes are vermin? that's what i heard on the politics show.

I lost my cat ten years ago. Phoned up the police station to ask If they knew where I could go - I was thinking of a local pound where they take animals found on streets? They told me that a cat is classed as a wild animal not a pet and take a hike.
Does that make it vermin like the fox?
I just love the arrogance these irritating tories have towards animals. I grew up with dogs which are cousins to the fox and it's like some sort of animal racism - white guys chasing down black guys for the slave masters. leave the wildlife alone. We've pushed them out of the countryside and still we hound them. literally hound them.
