New fountain pen....used once and doesn't suit my hand writing.
"Nokia C3 Touch & Type".... brand new and still in it's box
BT cordless phone....a gift from my "in Australia" daughter
I'm too deaf to use it because the volume 1-5 control does nothing (at least as far as I can tell)! It's all set up for others to use and I have another one which is brill.
A fantastic surveyor's weather proof clip board bought by my son for Xmas 2009. Unfortunately I hadn't done any work since November!
The absolutely smartest insulated steel vacuum food "flask", by "Berghaus", bought by James for when I went walking, together with a compass in case I get lost.
I already have an identical one!
An electric car buffer from daughter, but I already have one (didn't want to disappoint her and might need it one day).
A top of the range pasta machine by "Imperia". Beautiful gift but never used (even the Italians use off the shelf dried pasta & it's limited to what it can do). I just gave it to my "spare daughter" with a cutting wheel to make "Ravioli".
DVDs...."Borat" Gemma bought for me after we laughed so loud when she rented it. I'm not the greatest movie watcher and certainly not into watching again.
"Rush" from James who "borrowed" it back when I only watched half of it.
The Olympics Two Discs of opening and closing ceremonies, and plus six hours of sport. I did ask for this, when I was having withdrawal symptoms, after the games were over! Haven't watched any of it But I think it's a must have!
"The Italian Job" (1st one) bought by James even though I said the only bit I like is the opening scene.
CD's I bought Elton John's tribute to Dianna. Never played, as I think it is naff, and surprised he was allowed to do it! Anyway it's just one I thought would be good to have, at least whilst the format is still available.
Scarves.....
Never ever wear them.
Got a beautiful long black one in "Cashmere" (I think). Gave to Linzy
Have another four here, one of which I really like, but I don't wear scarves!!!
I could go on and might later but getting bored of my own subject now
Lazer guided circular saw.....Did just one cut of 1 metre
"Mountfield-Quiet-Shredder"....another impulse buy and used for twenty minutes.
Electric sprayer system....had for ever and used just once.
Clothes.....this in fact what prompted me to put up the thread, whilst sorting out my wardrobes
Beautiful dinner suit, shirt and assorted bow ties....worn once only
Pair of "Nu-Buk" leather sandals....bought last year and never worn
Lovely blue shirt and matching silk tie.....worn just once and somehow flipped a loaded fork of curry all down the front! Incredibly it dry cleaned as perfect, but never wore it again and this was six years ago!
Two pars of linen trousers....one worn just once, and the other never worn.
Wrangler Jeans....didn't wear for six months, so couldn't take them back when I realised that the rise was too low for me. At my age I should be wearing "High Waisters" preferably in beige.
Tools....Lazer guided circular saw.....Did just one cut of 1 metre"Mountfield-Quiet-Shredder"....another impulse buy and used for twenty minutes.Electric sprayer system....had for ever and used just once.Clothes.....this in fact what prompted me to p
Could list loads of stuff but I normally realise quite quickly that I'm never going to use something and move it on to another family member, friend or charity shop.

I'm an e-bay virgin. Never bought or sold anything before but bought a serrated pasta wheel which I hadn't realised was coming from there. Notified of dispatch on 10th June and still not arrived! The seller does appear to be "Kosher" and says he sent another one last Monday!
No sign of either one yet!

I was going to let this thread fall off the bottom but have to add this....
I have a shiny set of drain rods that I got, as insurance, just in case.
That reminded me that the most expensive stuff I never used, and would suspect that neither did many on here, is insurance!
Buildings...
Contents and personal possessions....
Life & Injury cover....
Car insurance....

The only thing I can think of that I have that has never been used is the first Season of Homeland on DVD. I will watch it one day I'm sure.
I don't like a lot of stuff. If I get bought anything that I don't want then it goes straight to the charity shop.
I'm a minimalist. Less is more.
