Does "volunteered as a gardener" mean he could not get a job, which might indicate mental health issues?
Not guilty by reason of insanity. Please remit my usual fee to ... |

Have you ever seen that episode of the Simspons where well behaved Christian Ned Flanders loses his marbles and goes mental at his neighbours/friends etc?
I imagine that's what happened in this road rage incident. Someone with such pent up anger he just flipped. Very sad. Here's the scene by the way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AGDkHYe22Q |

Think the daily mail wanted to get at him because he is a murderer, won`t come as a surprise to many of us that predicted he would claim diminished responsibility, if that turns out to be the case.
Man carries knife, man uses knife, another man dies for a dent in a car, 25-30 for me. |

I can tell you the guy has mental health problems,i know its clear to see but its a fact

Police were searching his home on a street, where properties cost £250,000, until around 3pm today. One resident added Daley had moved to the street in October 2013.

The only time the DM don't mention house prices in a story is in a story about house prices.

How did this scumbag end up getting taken in - did he realise what he had done and wait to take his medicine, was he held by passers by or did he leg it and get tracked down?
|

By:
He legged it and got tracked down.

Leaving aside that this is now probably sub-judice, so a rhetorical question with no response required. Why would anyone (like Roger) simply guess the circumstances and background to this dreadful incident? The mind boggles.
|
|
By:
I didn't guess, I asked what happened. Didn't know whether the guy had gone on the run or stayed at the scene. It's a perfectly reasonable question.
|
|
By:
Roger, so it's perfectly reasonable for you to refer to him as a "scumbag", without you being there and you relying totally on what you have read in/on the media. Aren't you kind of pre-judging this issue?
This kind of stuff got that "strange" Bristol bloke hammered didn't it. |
|
By:
So are you saying we shouldn't pass comment on anything until it's been to court.
I think anyone reading what happened and/or listened to a senior police officer describing it would call the person who did it a scumbag. Roger, like most of us, are assuming that the police have the right person. |
|
By:
So you think they might have just plumped for the local weirdo blackbarn? Ok. Fair enough. The fact is that whichever 'scumbag' did this did so in broad daylight on a busy road with witnesses around. So to me the likelihood that the police get the right man on this is almost certain - therefore my comment is not at all the kind of stuff that got the strange bloke from Bristol hammered for a crime which I don't think generated such strong leads from the second it happened and the police were starting from scratch to try to solve it.
I suspect you are just as confident as any of us that the police have the right man and are arguing for the sake of it which makes it a bit pointless. |
|
By:
I presume the man apprehended, named and charged with murder by the police is the man who casually took an old mans life. I again presume that he's been named and charged because the police have enough evidence to link the man to the crime.
That being so,I don't think it's unreasonable for Roger to ask the question he did. I can't for the life of me invent a scenario where the killing of an unharmed man by another, in the circumstances that prevail, can in any way be justified. Unless of course the killer was a hired assassin and the victim was some gangland boss or mass murderer. So the description ( by Roger) of ' scumbag ' would appear to be very apt - even if somewhat tame imo. |

If it is proved the man had mental health problems, he will go to Broadmoor. If the man was on medication and for some reason never took it, he will prob spend the rest of his life locked up.
