But never mind  the Royal Society of Public Health are now suggesting that health advice should be given to the public by workers who, provide a service in society. I.e hairdressers, bar workers and staff in bookmakers.

Unbelievable !! Is there no end to the utter b@ll@cks that this Tory government comes up with?

The NHS can achieve massive and immediate savings across their enterprise very easily.

The first very sensible thing the NHS England/Wales can do is to only communicate in English and Welsh. Any resident who doesn't speak one of those languages but wishes to receive treatment can pay for a translator, or pay for private treatment.  Remember, this is the NATIONAL Health Service, and not the International Health Service it has ridiculously become.

The NHS should also operate along the lines of  "we are here solely to dispense healthcare, and your religious/cultural/gender sensitivities end at our front door".  Henceforth there would be no need to agonise over every ridiculous subculture, which ends up with producing utterly ridiculous NHS websites like the one below from Genteel Dorset of all places, not previously known as a hotbed of Vital Multicultural Enriching Vibrancy.

This is just ONE example of the sort of absurd website which all too clearly reveals the mentality which is now systemic throughout the NHS.

There is so much common sense in that last post  that nobody even tried to argue.

Couldn't agree more.

I remember needing a translator at the Hospital once, luckily the Nurse spoke good English and relayed what the Doctor was saying.
Report lfc1971 • July 21, 2015 2:29 PM BST

The Fens weren't ready for asians in 2005.

The Jobcentre in March (closed down now) had notices up asking if you needed a translator.

The only choice was Welsh.

Facts still SEETHING that his 'Love the asians' party never won the election.
Report alun2005 • July 21, 2015 8:21 PM BST
Most of the reasonably well-off lefties actually operate on a "PRETEND to love the Asians" (but live as far away from they as possible) basis.

My nephews father in law worked for the NHS for 25 years in a a managerial role. He earned a decent salary, but I know he worked long hours and was very
dedicated.
He turned 64 last January, and was told in April, that due to restructuring, his job was to be moved to another department in a different hospital.
So rather than let him see out his last 9 months on gardening leave, or doing a similar job,(which he would have been quite happy to do) they offered him redundancy!
Not only that, due to some problems at the hospital, they then asked him to return on a consultancy basis, having already paid him a hefty redundancy.

She will remember the Irish being neutral in WWII then I guess and allowing U-Boats to dock in Irish ports?
