I came across this one last night.

The video is 1 hour and 5 minutes long, and no, I didn't watch it all.

From Romford to Canning Town Station on a No.5 bus.

.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTm3P-pjtUM

The BBC would have you believe that Romford is in east London.

That makes east London at least 14 miles wide.

WALOFS Laugh

The bus doesn't get into east London until it passes the Barking and East Ham border, which is 41 minutes and 26 seconds into the film.

11 miles in 41 minutes.

The final 3 miles took 24 minutes.

Average speed 14 m.p.h.

Point of interest (1)

52 minutes - on the left - The Bobby Moore statue, on the right, The Boleyn pub.

Point of interest (2)
56:07 - on the left - Plaistow Police Station - I’ve been in there. Happy

Point of interest (3)
56:19 - on the left - really old Hovis bread sign - probably older than kenny mann.

Bearing in mind the time he spend at bus stops the driver must have been well in front of his schedule.

Bookies shops from The Abbey Arms to Canning  Town, which is half a mile, if that.

56:49 - right - Laddies

57:44 - left - Coral

57:47 - right - Paddy Power

1:01:05 - right - Laddies

1:02:18 - right - Hills

Not bad for the 3rd poorest borough in London, is it?

Point of interest (4)

1:03:53 - the tall building on the right was once the Royal Oak pub and boxing gym, home of champions, including Frank Bruno.

I hope you enjoyed your journey. Laugh

Put up a bus journey of your own for this fine thread to continue.

Just to cheer up Baron Stalker.

Despite the bus going through some right sh*tholes, there were no reported rapes.

if I can cut away from buses for a moment.

I was looking on youtube for Mountain Goat routes in Cumbria. MG are the local minibus company.

I did find these though.

Hardknott and Wrnyose passes - all the way over, 21 minutes in a car (a bit slow)

.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6apbooDqFbY

and

The Hardknott Pass - just the  ascent - by bicycle

.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzNfufUHh9Q

You can see how hard it is at 3:30 and by 5:50 he passes two who gave up and were pushing their bikes, another one at 6:20. At 12:30, see the camera rock from side to side as he’s out of the saddle again, and passes another pusher at 12:50, he even had the breath for a chat as he passed him!!!

Going forward to 15:20 he passes another 3 pushers but breathing too hard for a chat this time.

Passing a few more pushers, he got a ripple of applause as he got to the top of that part of the climb. He sounds knackered now,  he’s breathing in and out once a second.

All the way to the top without stopping once.

Amazing effort.

Argumentative Somali at a bus stop in London.

Dirty stinking coont spat on a bloke who was trying to calm him down.

An Irishman threw him on the bus about a minuter later, where he stayed.

The Somalian wanted running over with a bus.

That video would have been a lot shorter if he spat in my face.

A lowlife scumbag immigrant spat at my wife and threw a can of drink at her about 11 years ago. It took me a while to find him, but only about two minutes to explain the error of his ways.  When you're drunk, picking on a woman who is barely 5 feet tall isn't good for you, especially when her husband is 6-2 and over 17 stones. No, the case of that lady in the disgraceful footage wasn't plastered all over the BBC. I don't know whether she was sought by the police, let alone be arrested and charged. It certainly wasn't given any significant television news coverage.

Curiously, a short time before these appalling events took place, there WAS an infamous case of a white woman who spewed out a racist diatribe on a tram. She WAS plastered all over the TV news and basically hunted down with dogs. Arrested and charged and eventually given a community sentence.
