A man and a woman have pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges following the deaths of two dogs.
Aaron Wielding, aged 25, and Selina Jane Ferguson, aged 21, of Edlington, appeared charged with four offences at Doncaster Magistrates Court today in an RSPCA prosecution.
The pair, of Staveley Street, are accused of causing unnecessary suffering to two dogs, a female dog called Rosie and a bulldog type dog called Buster, between January 1 and February 11 this year, which resulted in the animals’ deaths.
They each face three charges of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, and a charge breaching the duty of a person responsible for an animal to ensure its welfare. All the offences are under the Animal Welfare Act, 2006.
One dog ate the corpse of the other dog as they were locked up and starving.
He got 16 weeks in prison.
Lock him up for 16 weeks with no food imo.
She got a 10 week suspended sentence.
There's equality for you.

The sentences are a joke but accurately reflect how we approach animal cruelty in the UK.

Yes indeed, aka, and shortly we'll probably have another puppy farm, comprising entirely of poor beageles, bred for animal testing.
