Like so many of the unfunny Dave Allen sketches - the punch line was obvious.
I must be thick as I never saw the punch line coming
6-2 in favour. Must be horrible to go through life without a sense of humour.
BTW I never saw that end coming either.

I don't like Eddie Izzard but that sketch was funny.
Wouldn't say 9/10, more a 6 and not as funny as DAs sketch.

not only is it not the funniest sketch ever from tv, it's not even the funniest sketch ever from "tv's dave allen"... way too long and obvious as soon as the cafe appeared
as an aside, the cafe would have been better named munch & judy imo (assuming the proprietress was called judy, of course)

I always liked Dave Allen, f me the winter nights must just fly by in Facts house/bedsit/caravan.........
dave allen was a genius, better as a raconteur than a sketch artist though
TBF Facts has been depressed since the Tories swept to power.
Yep.......I agrree.......my dad liked Dave Allen....
...excellent when he was telling stories....one of the best ever.....
......in this context prefer CYE....

My favourite Dave Allen sketch was him talking to his imaginary young son, explaining to him how to tell the time.
Very clever, and very funny.
