Terrible if true, he was a funny guy who actually made me laugh out loud many times, no one else on here can do that.

Sadly as he often said himself he did have a couple of addictions which monopolised his character and quite often there was more than a touch  sadness to his posts. Maybe by excluding himself (if that's what has happened) its a small first step towards battling one of his demons.

Whatever the reason I for one wish him well.

Don't worry, he's gone missing for a few weeks  about 3 times this year or back end of last. 1.25 he'll be back.

Something of a contradiction with the above, if you could not care less what anonymous members think, why do you spend so much time on here posting your thoughts/opinions for them to read.

I for one enjoy a lot of contributions, some I enjoy less than others, just because some one does not agree with my point of view does not make them wrong, they simply don't hold the same opinions as me.

He was intelligent, funny and amusing...a natural gentleman judging by his posts...he had a gift for words and describing his world.

I'm definitely in the camp which believes that the forum is a much brighter place with the presence of all true English eccentrics and especially Do Wah.

No you are not wrong Facts, I found that particular thread beyond the pale, and your contribution on it was acknowledged by me as correct, if you care to revisit it. I make no excuse for being sickened by someone posting (before the total body count was finished)the benefits of cheaper holidays etc, etc,as a result of holidaymakers being massacred on a beach.

A perfectly rational human response,  if you want to cast up past threads, just remember others can do exactly the same as you. I have moved on why don't you??

I always enjoyed reading Do Wah's posts which had an air of Reeves & Mortimer surrealism about them (intended or not) and had me either laughing or scratching my head.  Hope he returns.

I'm sure Facts could brighten up a room just by leaving it.

Facts appears to be as welcome as a fart in a lift.

Poppy I do agree with you to a certain extent but every now and then he would come out with a comedy gem.

I'm sure DoWah will be back. His mother was suffering ill health wasn't she? Hope they're ok.

I'm going to search the Australian forum and try and find what I think was Do Wah's first thread there. It was the first time he and Star of The magi exchanged words (Star of the Magi was once called All High for you older forumites). Two great characters.

This is very sad, DO WAH DIDDY DIDDY DUM DIDDY DO another one on the missing list.

Several of his postings were pretty amusing even with the Caps lock. Some people are just naturally amusing and he was.

Another one on here who suddenly went missing was Lady Penelope, some of her postings got more and more bizarre at times, like the Mad Granny in the attic - or maybe under the influence of the cooking sherry !

Just slightly off topic, when Manfred Mann first recorded Do Wah Diddy Diddy they didn't like the song at all. And if you listen to their early LP they are basically a R & B band, and to suddenly get a song like this !  It was originally meant for a girl group after Da Doo Ron Ron was such a big hit and to keep with that type of song. Manfred Mann recorded it and changed their musical direction to be more pop and then had a load of hits.

I am really missing him.
