Sadie Jones' two-part adaptation of her own best-selling novel of the same name. In the years following the end of the Second World War, 10-year-old Lewis's idyllic childhood is shattered after he witnesses a tragic accident, and the incident sets his life on a drastic new course. Coming of age drama, set in the 1950s, starring George MacKay, Greg Wise, Hattie Morahan and Jessica Brown Findlay
