why are you doing the survey?

By:
I'm not doing a survey as such, apart from maybe idle curiosity as to how many times these dreadful people will keep ringing.
I have every sympathy for the youngsters who cannot get another job in India apart from Call Centres but, while being sympathetic to their plight, I don't want my day constantly interrupted by the phone ringing. I suppose I might be blacklisted after I start asking the female callers about the size of their attributes or the style of underwear they are wearing. Of course, the clever bit will be if someone actually answers the question, then I will have to come up with ancillary questions. |

Well, it seems it has worked so far. After the one call yesterday morning, no more for the rest of the day. The previous day I had about four or five.
Perhaps, I am barred from them calling me. That's what I call a result. William |

The solutione to it is simple.
Just don't answer the phone. I would assume that most of your friends & family have your moby number, so if necessary they would call you on that, if no response on the land line! |

That's all very well Aunty but what happens if it's the guy from Microsoft trying to advise you you've got a problem with your computer, you could be in a real pickle if you don't talk to him.

What if its a 'heavy breather' call? asking the size of his johnson could be just what he's after .

The more cold calls you answer the more you will get. Telling them to get lost is pointless. The fact that you answer the phone means that your number is marked as being "live" which means that your number can be sold to others. The only solution is to get a device that answers and filters the calls or just don't answer at all.

I am never disturbed by cold callers, Mrs. F always answers the phone. When she is out I let it go to answerphone.
If no-one bought the goods and services they are offering then cold calling would die out. |
