Perhaps you get more money if you're about to peg out.

The thing to take into consideration is that as bad as this is the vast majority of cases don't have something like this happening. The important point is to accept that fact rather than drawing broader conclusions about isolated incidents like this which do happen.

My wife was awarded attendance allowance, when the Macmillan nurses advised that she was eligible.

This was only for the last few weeks of her life, though she could have been claiming for months before.

Later she received a very upsetting letter, saying that if she failed to attend, for assessment of her ability to carry out certain
every day tasks, her entitlement would be withdrawn.

Two weeks later she was gone!

Thanks for that and love your chat name.

My family have been badly let down, in so many ways, by incompetence in the health service.

I could write a book, but it would make for harrowing reading.

I could start a thread on here, but don't want to clutter the place up with doom and gloom.
Also it doesn't do me any good, going over and over bad things, but I would be a main contributor if someone else does.

when are the tories gonna allow publication of figure which show death related directly to cutbacks?
Report Facts • July 7, 2015 5:32 PM BST
We await the figures ! But you can bet your bottom dollar they will be falsified so as to present a more favourable position.

I've been there myself when my pappy died Aunty. Lung cancer unfortunately and his care was poor in hospital which given I used to be a nurse was surprising and disappointing. What helped the family was complaining about it and getting to meet the Managers in the hospital to thrash out the complaint. We weren't after anything but an apology and an indication of where they were going to improve and it helped us that they did so.
