Dreadful storms tonight in Newcastle.
A tornado which resulted in golf ball sized hailstones, one of which killed a goat stone dead in a local field.

Can't recall a lightning storm like the one tonight.
Very little thunder , but not stop lightning , and then a torrential downpour for 30 minutes.
