Chinese authorities have seized 100,000 tonnes of frozen meat from the 1970s which was going to be used in restaurants.CrySilly

When Chinese take aways first came to where I live I had chips, peas, onions and curry sauce. I thought it was amazing. Up until then my only experience of any international cuisine was in a vesta packet. Used to love the smell. I think Vesta are missing a marketing trick by keeping that smell that reminds grown ups of their youth but not having that substitute type meat. Or a good vegetarian range.

Loved waiting in Chinese takeaways in the 1970s. Only chance many of us got to watch colour telly.

Between 8 and 9pm was the best time, because there was always a chance Benny Hill would come on with thick glasses and slitty eyes calling Henry McGee a sirry iriot.

When I used to go to me local betting shop ages ago it must have been snowing everywhere and the only thing to bet on was the horse racing from Belgium ( where the horses were not even allowed to run ). Anyway the talk got to betting on something else from the lads there who practically lived in the betting shop. The bet was could you eat a full packet of cream crackers without taking a drink. The fella who thought he could ended up only eating about 4 crackers.
