I played 90 holes on friday. teed off in the dark at 3.45am.
Knocked in a 70 yard pitch at 5am for eagle. But I was more proud of finishing with 3 successive pars on the 88th, 89th and 90th holes! 35 is a fantastic effort for the back nine. Hole a few putts on the way in? |

FOUR putted two greens on the front nine and one putted 5 times on the back .
90 holes in one day is mind blowing.Take it you didn't walk round ..congrats on the eagle..a rare feat at our level indeed. |

Yep me and 2 mates walked the whole way. 24.2 miles covered in total. It was a fundraiser for Macmillan cancer and we managed to raise a nice sum.
It was a good laugh up until the final 9 holes which were very tough indeed. I'm a very similar standard to you - There's some days I can go round in 75-76 shots and convince myself I'm a decent player. I'll tee it up the week after and go round in 87 shots! My short game is very hit and miss and the part of my game I need to sort out. Saying that I enjoy the unpredictability of it - I only play with mates and my Dad so it's never too serious. |

90 holes in a day - well done sir!!
I did 4 different courses in a day for charity about 10 years ago Muckhart, Gleneagles Queens, Blairgowrie, Dalmahoy In the bar after the final round, everyone in our 4-ball fell asleep half way through their first pint |

Mid-week medal last week, also 12 handicap, started with 6 straight pars and a front 9 of 38. The 10 on the 13th gave me a back 9 of 44. C'est la vie!

Cheers bigH
I know Blairgowerie very well. Really enjoy both courses there. Rosemount would be in my top 5. I'll be up there in August for 10 days. Can't wait. |

On consecutive days two weeks ago, I was out in 1 under, and back in 1 over, so an eclectic level par 71. My 18 hole scores were 76 and 77 though.
Not broken 80 since. |

Good scores Fenway..what a magic two days they must have been.what is your handicap?

The second of those two rounds got me back down to 9 for the first time in about 25 years.

For anybody struggling with their putting can i suggest you use the Brandt Snedeker"pop method".I used it on my back nine yesterday with remarkable results(only wished i'd remembered it on the front nine)

broke 75 twice in one week---haven't broken 80 since

Well done Mr Eboue. 90 holes is some feat and great cause.

To break 80 on a consistent basis you simply MUST putt good.I play with someone who bombs it 300 yds down the fairway leaving me 50 yds in his wake yet he's never broken 80.His short game is all over the shop .He three putts frequently but blames the greens(we play 7 courses in our area so that carn't be the reason). He is in total denial of how bad a putter he really is.
