Buy a little book on Pitmans shorthand. You could always ask a trained secretary-person to type it out for you. It is a difficult decision to make...did she use it to hide her thoughts...or was it just for convenience? Only a translation will tell.

I suspect it was to hide her thoughts as 99% of the writing is in English. It may well be upsetting to find out what is written but i'd like to know.
Best thing i can find on the net is this: http://www.long-live-pitmans-shorthand.org.uk/PDF/Vocabulary-150-Common-Words-long-live-pitmans-shorthand.pdf |

Your problem seems to be in making the decision to have it typed out. There is not a problem in translating it...it is standard office procedure in many jobs.
You need to decide, one way or the other, or you will continue shilly-shallying about in some sort of self-inflicted anguish. |

My wife had all the "Pitman's Certificates" and I still have stuff here where she used it.
It looks beautiful, but it my as well be in Arabic or Japanese. |
