where's the best place to stay for Royal Ascot

I missed Royal Ascot this year due to other commitments

I usually stay in central London and commute to the course, years ago I used to stay in Windsor, but can anyone tell me of somewhere nearby (with a train link) to stay in either a hotel or a decent b&b.

I was thinking about somewhere near to Staines, Richmond or Twickenham as it has the train link.
