By:
They can austerity as much as they like for me.
I see that house prices are predicted to rise by 25% in the next five years. http://www.moneyexpert.com/news/house-prices-look-increase-25-homes-for-sale-plummet-the-lowest-level-since-records-began/800583375?affiliateID=405&campaign=EM2293A It's nice to have a little bit tucked away for a rainy day. |

didnt they hear the results? Tory Majority.
They are protesting at the wrong place... They should be protesting right outside Myleen Klass's mansion and other tory voting homes. |
By:
Unemployeyed (sp?) should be given the offer to WORK for their benefit money, imo.
Don't wanna work? Muzzy izzit? Fack ORF! |
By:
The organisers were probably staying at Claridges I suspect.
By:
Some people are never happy, they would rather we ended like greece and then they would have something to really to protest about.

By:
Take it none of them was in on the gamble on Interception in the Wokingham?
There's some 'anti-austerity' for you. |
By:
People protesting because the party they voted for got fewer votes than they hoped. The definition of pathetic.
By:
I support them
But cannot afford to go up to London to support them I would to see austerity applied to the rich not just the poor |
By:
The unemployed would work, but there needs to be jobs
I believe society has to provide a job for everybody |
By:
as has been asked already .,,.What austerity is it that people keep complaining about ?
there is none ,it never happened ,reducing council budgets has been needed ,on befalf of the taxpayers . When ever you see people protesting about council services being cut , its mostly council employees ![]() |
By:
Those at the bottom of our society and the unemployed feel it all right
Benefits cut all round |
By:
We've never had it so good.
Maybe if some people cut back on the booze and cigarettes and made do without a mobile life might be better. I'm all for helping the really poor off but too many scroungers are fouling up the system. |
By:
Also a similar march in Bristol. Austerity is literally stealing from the poor to give to the tax avoiding rich.
By:
tax avoidance is fine though......
By:
its a fact that some people put booze and ciggies ahead of caring for their children
By:
true hound dog ,another example which is on the politics forum now about the government proposals to sell rbs shares at the low rate of £5, when the true value is £7.! sounds like a good opportunity to make some money ! don't get excited though because these shares will not be available to small investors , the bankers and the rich will make another killing
By:
sorry £7.75 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
By:
Do you know for a fact they won't be available to small investors?
By:
@G1-J
So because some people avoid tax it's okay for others to take advantage of our benefits system? |
By:
same thing in my book.
both utter sc um although the way people go on here is that most who claim are scroungers.... |
By:
id look at the governments reluctance to curb house prices.
housing benefits costs more to the government than benefit fraud. |
By:
might want to check that info on rbs prices Foyleswar ...currently around £3.50 and that was after they clumped them 1 for 10 ,gov bought in at 47p and they will be getting out well under that ,despite promising not to ,now saying profit on other sell offs will cover it .Its all ballarks anyway ,noone is talking about the costs involved or what interest 45B would have made ect .
Bottom line is they had to do it imo ,was against it but these banks invent/print money and pay 50B a year in taxes so they are needed. Not so sure there would be the public hunger for bank shares, there will be a public sale , there is plenty to go around imo . |
By:
Russel Brand took plenty milage out of the Bank bailouts but never once did he mention the money being recouped or go into the effect on economy ect if they had not taken the action they did ,not to mention the job losses and costs involved there .
By:
they did cause the financial crisis...........not even sc ummy tax avoiders caused it
By:
akabula have a look at the George osbourne fred on politics
By:
they should hold their protests up north to help boost the economy
london hardly needs another 250k day trippers |
By:
250k ....
what was official figure of yesterdays rabble ? |
By:
I was going to go on this march, but I was intending to drive and not walk.
But some may have got the wrong idea and thrown eggs at my Bentley. |
By:
I was going to set up a stall selling soap just in case they cracked open the water cannons.
By:
thought you had a peckham spring moment there till i saw the end bit.

We've never had it so good. Maybe if some people cut back on the booze and cigarettes and made do without a mobile life might be better. I'm all for helping the really poor off but too many scroungers are fouling up the system. We have never had it so bad. Of course all the better off love this system. They get everything the poor get very little.Still if that is what people want? I will always oppose it. I detest the rich, their hypocrisy. The only decent people you find in our society are at the bottom. Lot of Tories on these forums. Must de better at gambling than I am LOL! |
