The 'I Live Here' website.

Bradford

I clicked on London, and after scouring 20 pages of boroughs, there's not one mention of Newham.

Hackney is there, so is Croydon (more than once) Bow, Poplar, Peckham etc.

Newham - so  bad it doesn't even make the 'bad places' Happy

lol, I read that a while ago. It's a very old article. Still a sihthole though, although they're doing their best with the impressive new Town Hall square, and massive new shopping development. Still plenty of decent folk, but the majority of them live on the outskirts, many parts of which are beautiful. Too many foreigners and underclass. Simple as that but that's the way things are these days.

You will be going the same way as that Taxi fella. Newham this. Newham that. What is it with Newham that you fellas find so attractive? It's just a part of London.

Doesn't take long for a Newhammer's mask to slip...and when it does, guess what's underneath.

Bradford Park Avenue sounds nice.
Conjures up visions of quiet tree lined roads flanked by well manicured grassy vistas. On a sunny day children are playing, picnics on the lawns, perhaps a friendly cricket match between portly middle-aged men, a game of bowls...

I've been many times to Park Avenue, which was the home of the other football club in Bradford. Also Yorkshire CCC used to have the odd fixture there. Now predominantly Asian, as are most inner city areas.

It was quite posh in the 60s. I got pally with a chap whose mum married the then chairman, and they lived round there.

Sounds quite posh Kenny, some of the old football teams have exotic names.

Posh (Port Out Starboard Home) is where Peterborough's nickname came from.
