Had a nice couple of hours at Gem's place this morning. Watching all the birds coming to the feeders.

As many will know, I'm not exactly young, but I just saw my first ever Woodpecker.....

Pair of Greater Spotted Woodpeckers been seen around our golf course, they are about starling sized, the lesser is more house sparrow sized. I had to look that up I admit.

had a nuthatch on my feeder" lovely bird " id liken it to a kingfisher but a bit less colourfull !

aunty try those breeze block type material nest boxes! well worth the money though I got mine from a car boot for £4 about 8 years ago aeither blue tits or great tits have nested every year seem to take turns each year !
