Excellent programme. What a horse and what a trainer.

A lovely and emotional insight into the love a human can have for an animal.

About 6 years back I was asked for some advice from Henry, in the petrol station at Newmarket....... he said there were bubbles in his fuel tank, did I think it was alright ?....I said it was probably okay....I think I put his mind at rest. Cool

Yes - very good documentary although they skipped very quickly from the Guineas in 2011 to the Juddmonte in 2012. Would have been more pleasant to have spoken more about the intervening races.

Tom Queely hardly gets a mention, apparently.

Is that true?

TL,

I don't think I'll get the image of Henry Cecil driving down the Rowley Mile, in a Robin Reliant, out of my head for a while nowLaugh

very enjoyable and moving documentary.
I wonder who the trainer was who said "that's Henry Cecil - he should've packed it in years ago." ?

I have just watched this.

There was no need for them to have mentioned Tom. It would have detracted from the story of Sir Henry and Frankel.

It was a lovely programme. Very sad but hugely enjoyable.

Very sad that an intelligent and talented man with a wife and children smoked himself to death. I just don't get it.

I don't get people who drink to get legless.

I don't get people who worship a god.

I don't get people who take such drugs as cocaine.

I don't get people who think it's okay to hit their children.

I don't get people who spend thousands following a football team when only one of 4 or 5 teams will win the Premier League.

I don't get a lot of thing that people do.

The world carries on spinning though.
