They are everywhere...Loads outside, some getting in the house.
We have tried Nippon powder, gel, lemon juice, coffee granules, boiling water and other stuff. Please help as I am stressing about this a bit. Has anyone got some sound, sensible advice Crazy I'm thinking just call a company to come in and sort it but if there is a wonder cure, please let me know.

Cheers,
Pauly

Ant powder needs to be layed along a trail where they are going.

If you watch them for 5 minutes you may see them go to their nest.

This is what I use, does what it says and I totally recommend it:

Make sure to leave a broad area sprayed inside all exterior doors and I promise you won't have any more trouble from the little feckers

Ant Stop bait stations are amazing.

Little round plastic hubs that instead of killing the ants that come into contact with it they take the stuff inside back to the nest and it kills them all.

Have used these twice for ant problems in the house this year. Put both down at night with ants everywhere, by morning no sign of any ants at all. Brilliant things.

Don't tread on an ant, he's done nothing to you
There might come a day when he's treading on you
Don't tread on an ant, you'll end up black and blue
You cut off his head, legs come looking for you

So unplug the jukebox
And do us all a favor, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, that music's lost its taste
So try another flavor

You may be too young to get that reference.
The Leopard is obviously of the right era but seems to be in favourof the American mispelling, which doesn't make him a bad person.
Re ants

I once saw a documentary about an American "whisperer" - not just horses, she could do elephants, mongooses etc.
The last fifteen minutes of the programme was related to ants. I think in her own house. She spoke to the and listened to what they had to say.

Its worth a try.

she spoke to them (ants)
It has to be better than those chemical poisons. Give it a go, good luck, and don't be afraid to listen to their concerns.

Best wishes

What did they say?

In the docuentary? To be honest, they completely ignored the woman and threats escalated.
The whisperer diagnosed that a horse was bored and the elephant had a sore foot (both true, but that was apparent to the casual viewr)
She spoke to the ants
They did what ants do
She threw poison on them
