Lincoln Payne, 29, of no fixed address is to appear at Maidstone Court charged with two counts of attempted murder of two women in their 70s, robbery and theft, in Faversham, Kent.

Could this be the same man?

If it is, and he doesn't look white to me, I sincerely hope the BBC will class it as a racist attack when he is sentenced in their report.

Like they have done for the Spanish couple attacked by white men in York.

Suspect wanted for questioning for rape of a 14 year old girl in the Goldings area of Northampton

The BBC say he is described as short, about 5 feet 1, with a large nose and a shaved head. Speaks with a foreign accent, believed to eastern European.

But of course, not reported as a racist crime by the BBC (like the Spanish couple attacked by white men in York)

Perhaps the victim was also eastern European?

I think you should check to see if the New York event was called 'racist' in the police report. The BBC should only report the news. It is not up to them to decide whether or not a news item should be described as 'racist'.
However, if the crime is recorded or nominated as a racist crime by the police (for example)...then it could be, and maybe should be, reported as racist.
This might even apply even when the crime WASN'T racist...but I'd have to think about that.
On the other hand, if a crime is recorded by the police as a racist event and the BBC don't mention this, then they would be guilty of bias by their omission.

Does it all make any difference? I can't see why one murder should be treated any differently to another. The colour, race or religion of the parties is of no relevance except, perhaps, for statistical data. Just as long as sentences aren't affected when judging these cases.

It doesn't, and it ahouldn't.

So if they decide to print it, they should put the word 'racist' in all the crimes where one party is a different ethnicity to the other, not just whites attacking non-whites.

The BBC very rarely note the ethnicity of black or asian criminals.

They had no choice in some cases, like the Rotherham Abuse Enquiry.

There have been several group arrests over historic child abuse in the last few weeks in Preston and Oxford. if they turn out to be asians it's a fair bet the victims will be white, but you won't see the word 'racist' in the reports on the BBC.

The BBC had no problems reporting on the EDL march last week when there were a staggering number of arrests, 6, for nothing worse than 'drunk and disorderly' and 'causing an affray'.

They didn't report the ethnicity of the 150 strong mob that had to be dispersed by police helicopter in Lewisham, south London, last week, after a stabbing at a party.

Sadly, the BBC has lost all credibility on the reporting of such matters.

Our system of justice has also long ceased to be colour-blind.

I've just about given up commenting on threads such as these, SAGC.  The discrimination, racism and far worse that are now tolerated in the pursuit of multiculturism is too depressing.

spag  you have some of this wrong.  Mainly it is reported as Bangladeshi  (if reported at all)  - note the difference - almost never mentioned is MUSLIM  -  pokermonster - they just hope your reaction like many, will be the norm and it will all die down.

The frightening editorial control held by a a very few should be challenged all the time - this applies to ALL media.

as far as london is concerned ethnic crime is far over represented
particularly black drug gangs etc etc  and questions have to be asked
but it is implied it is racist to say so

MUSLIM GANGS  raping and trafficking young underage girls - it is part of how they perceive women, particularly kaffur or infidel.
Or didn't you know?  They avoid mentioning it so as not to offend them. Plus politicos do the same to garner votes.

Ok.
Who mentioned the IRA  I thought they were all involved in a peace process not out raping in gangs??

but hey ho let's confuse the issue by raising something else to divert

typical tactic.

A crime is a crime. Child abuse is child abuse. Organised Child rape and trafficking is organised child rape and  trafficking. Murder is murder. The colour or religion of the victim OR the perpetrator should have no effect upon the sentence. Blacks, whites, khakis, Muslims, Christians, male or female should not be taken into consideration when weighing evidence.
The only important considerations should be the vulnerability of the victim and, sometimes, the perpetrator. Also the motive for the offence is important.
All crime should be assessed and acted upon with regard to British law. This should NOT differentiate between colours, sexes, creeds or religion.

SAGC. Why would the BBC want to discover the ethnicity of EDL members who were drunk OR a mob attending a party where somebody was stabbed?
By:

discover the ethnicity of EDL members?

A surefire bet that the vast majority are indigenous white men, or you're being naive, or stupid.

As far as the newa reports I read, the UAF (who in any BBC report NEVER start any trouble) were not in attendance.

So there were no fights, stabbings, beatings or murders.

So what was wrong with '6 arrested from a mob in (wherever it was up north)'

I'd take long odds-on that the 150 strong group dispersed by police helicopter in Lewisham were mainly black.

But the BBC won't report 'Large number of black youths dispersed by a police helicopter after s atabbing'
By:

When: 05 Jun 15 20:58
oh yes of course but why is so much crime out of all proportion to their numbers coming from eastern europeans, black gangs, muslim trafficking and underage white children abuse gangs (on an industrial scale) etc etc etc

there is no answer to this from naydam  - only to parrot on about fair play.

The above, unfortunately don't play.

In the latest trafficking crime I  see the glorious eu experiment has brought us another 60 illegals courtesy of 4 polish lorry drivers

a wonderful vibrant addition.

Let's keep silent and it might go away!!

How can the BBC report 'a large number of black youths...' if they have no way of knowing whether they were black, or not. They report the news. The report is as accurate as they can make it. It is not their place to say that's odds-on to be a bunch of blacks. That is simply supposition on YOUR part. It is also a dangerous supposition if it was to be reported as 'fact'. It isn't a fact except in your head.
I might agree that it is quite likely but, as a responsible news broadcaster I could not report it as 'fact'.

It is also9 not the place for a responsible agency to guess at the ethnicity of EDL members. The incident occurred at an EDL meeting (apparently) and was reported as such. I assume that the definition came from the police or the EDL, but it certainly would NOT be a guess.

Naydam, how many blacks or asians, in your rough estimation, are members of the EDL?

The minority, or the majority?

As for the other item  - 'That is simply supposition on YOUR part'

In that case, lay me evens that there were more blacks than whites in that mob.

(This is where you post 'What's the point, you can't prove it)

And I reply with 'It's safe to say that you don't know Lewisham very well.'

I think you are getting confused between what you (and I) can guess at, and what a news broadcaster can announce to the public.
I have little doubt on the ethnicity of the people in both cases that you mention. Quite likely the same assumptions could be drawn by the BBC...but they would be assumptions based upon pure guesswork and not upon actual events.

We are NOT discussing what YOU think and we are NOT discussing what I think...and we never were.

Balderdash, piffle and poppycoque.

Plenty of reports on the television screen about crimes that don't mention the ethnicity when it's black or asian.

But if you google the item, you invariably find out more from newspaper sites.

One of their better ones was reporting (yet again)on two escaped prisoners a few weeks before the general election campaigns got under way (It's on this forum somewhere) Both news items appeared on the same day.

One was in Kent, the the other was up north, possibly Yorkshire.

One was in prison for armed robbery, the other for violent rape.

Both were described as over 6 feet tall.

They were both described as  heavily built

And to nobody's great surprise, they were both described as 'dangerous'.

One was described as white.

The other one's ethnicity wasn't given, which is a tad strange if you need to dodge him and report a sighting.

I guessed that he was black, and a quick search of Kent newspapers confirmed it.

The public were told not to approach either of them, but to phone the police if you spot one.

If he's dangerous, why would the BBC not give out the full description?

Perhaps they were hoping he would run into Nigel Farage Shocked as the report said he had friends in the Thanet area, where Farage was campaigning.
