my mom was going on about the hefty bills she pays. She was complaining that all the fancy windmills weren't making it cheaper. That the subsidies they were getting was in the millions.
I replied that's because its a token payment to make it look like they are actually trying. In Spain and Portugal they do solar and it gets fed back into the grid. It was getting so successful that some were making money out of it. So the government started taxing them. A lot of people had to get rid of their solar panels... couldn't afford the tax? f in mad.

how about this idea? Give the renewable companies half or even 40 percent of the oil companies subsidies.

in the usa the subsidies are $4.5 trillion. $10 million a minute. Can't find the UK Amounts?

According to British Gas here

http://www.britishgas.co.uk/the-source/our-world-of-energy/energy-explained/energy-bill-journey?cid=cd_p_mythbusting_NA_ppc_p_ppc_bill-split--journey_ui_&_$ja=cgid:16909729821|tsid:67993|cid:264881421|lid:23777777448|nw:g|crid:63139106181|rnd:11905822502634981337|dvc:c|adp:1t1

Environmental and social polices add £134 to the average bill. I'm guessing that includes clean energy subsidies.

For balance we could add the cost of decomissioning nuclear power stations or the perhaps £500m to restore coal sites in Scotland and Wales.

I am in floods of tears here!

The poor b@stards only make £42.00 profit from my energy bill.

Need to do something about it now.....

Call now to give just three pounds and adopt a fat cat....

This can pay for vital holidays, and luxury cars, and fine dining.

You will receive a signed photo of your adopted fat cat, and a free wallet to keep it in, if you become a monthly donor.

Thank you.....

With all the methane gas, ( also a greenhouse gas) we produce each year, it would make sense to build more bio digesters. You take and store the gas then use it at a time when the national grid needs it.
Every farm should have one and every water treatment plant, and recycling centre.
