Police in the US state of Texas say nine people have been killed in a shootout between rival biker gangs in the city of Waco.
The incident happened at the Twin Peaks Sports Bar and Grill in a shopping area called the Central Texas Market Place.
Police said no officers, or customers or staff of the restaurant were among the casualties.
One witness quoted by the Waco Tribune-Herald said the car park of the restaurant resembled "a war zone".
"There were maybe 30 guns being fired in the parking lot, maybe 100 rounds," Michelle Logan said.

The bloody confrontation between at least five biker gangs that left nine members dead and 18 others seriously injured at a Waco, Texas restaurant was planned by at least one of the gangs, it has emerged.
What started as a physical fight in the bathroom at the Twin Peaks Bar and Grill around 12.15pm spilled out into the bar and rapidly escalated to involve chains, clubs, knives and gunfire on a quiet strip. Employees and diners, including young children, scrambled and many took shelter in the freezer as hundreds of gang members ran rampage around the booths. In the parking lot, a SWAT team shot dead at least one biker and surrounded the rest. When the shooting ended, bodies were scattered across the tarmac and cars were riddled with bullet holes. On Monday, police said 192 people had been arrested on organized crime charges. 'In 34 years of law enforcement, this is the worst crime scene, the most violent crime scene that I have been involved in,' Waco police Sgt W Patrick Swanton said at a Sunday press conference. 'There were dead everywhere, blood everywhere.' On Monday, Swanton told KXAN that the 192 arrested bikers could face capital murder charges. Apart from the mass shootings this restaurant chain actually sounds pretty good.
 Twin Peaks is a chain of sports bars and restaurants (colloquially referred to as breastaurants) based in Dallas, Texas. The chain is known for having its waitresses dress in revealing uniforms that consist of cleavage - and midriff-revealing red plaid (or sometimes black bikini) tops, as well as khaki short shorts. There was also anger that an uninvited gang had shown up at a meeting between other gangs, hosted by the restaurant Twin Peaks. On Tuesday morning, police continued to pore over the multiple crime scenes - the restaurant areas, the bar, the toilets and the car park. Police are keeping members of the rival gangs in different parts of the jail. On Monday night, they began removing motorcycles and other vehicles from the area. Tow trucks are requiring a heavy police escort when they move the vehicles away from the scene. Around 80 cars or pickup trucks still need to be carried away. The restaurant meeting was meant for a coalition of invited bike groups and the organisers had requested the outdoor seating area for the event. A bike gang which was not invited to the meeting showed up, and a "disturbance in the parking lot" followed, according to Mr Swanton. |

http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2015/06/what-waco-police-wont-reveal-about-the-shootout-that-killed-9/394892/ Texas has fairly relaxed gun carry ,a few years ago a relative was over and i took him down the local to watch the football ,he was from Texas and throughout the time in the bar he kept slapping his right upper chest ,he said he was checkin his wallet to start with but i could not work it out ,then i asked again and he said he felt naked cause he did not have his gun .He is 6ft 4 and built like a brick sh!thouse ,he explained he never went out back home without a gun and explained the right to kill if someone comes within a certain distance of you ,Stand your ground or summit its called .In among the Biker dudes there are a lot of responsible types,law enforcement ,ex military ,ect ect ,these bikes are 30/40/50k ,the drink laws are really tight as well there ,the authorities dont like anyone who is different,these guys get a lot of respect and also mostly give a lot of respect ,whatever happened the truth has still to come out . To easy to say drug dealing and prostitution ect ect ect ,pisses me off when people swallow the **** that the MS media spout ,whatever happened to good old investigative journalism lets see how this all ends up . prob not the way some chit chatters would hope sadly  |
