My son's...I am rubbish at maths...Crazy

A rectangular flower bed is X metres wide by (X+3) metres long.
a) Write an expression for the perimeter of the flower bed
b) The perimeter is 34m. Use this info to form and equation.
c) solve this equation to find the length and width of the flower bed.

Perimeter = 2X + 2 x (X+3) = 4X + 6

4X + 6 = 34
4X = 34 - 6
x = 7

x + 3 = 10
