An extremist party was never going to last when the 95% of its voters who only voted for them out of frustration at the rest had a sensible mainstream party like UKIP to vote for.

A lot of votes have gone to UKIP, primarily because they've had so much more publicity this time. It can't have helped that there's been massive dissension in the ranks of BNP and a leadership change. I think they only had a small number of candidates anyway to get those votes. Lost 99.5% of their vote in five years, albeit. Which is just ridiculous.
