Shock - horror - Tory councillor accused of racist word

Spike Milligan called Prince Charles a "grovelling bastard" to a roomful of guests and a tv audience of millions,
but I don't recall him being dragged off to the tower.

People taking offence on behalf of others seems to be coming
a feature of life in Britain.

Police have now launched an investigation into the alleged comments and have spoken to Cllr Fahey’s fellow Tories.
Victor Kaufman, 29, who was at the event at the council offices in Wigston, Leicestershire, said: “Nobody could quite believe what he said.
“I was sitting in the room when the comments were made and the room gasped.
“A few people shouted 'racist'. I think some of us were in shock.
“To think things like that is bad enough, but to go ahead and say them in public is just abhorrent.”
Leicestershire Police confirmed they had received two complaints and said initial inquiries were under way.
