The Leopard unable to understand simple English and process.
Nigel said he would resign if not elected. He wasn't and resigned. The party refused to accept it and he has bowed to their wishes. Nigel Farage a man for all seasons. |

What akabula said, but strategically if UKIP are to build on their success (and gaining third place in the popular vote, spreading out from their heartland of the south east and coming second in many constituencies can be deemed a success on UKIP's own terms), they need to move away from being seen as the cult of one dominant personality.
They also need to firmly state that if you hold racist views, they are not the party you should vote for. |

how has he broken his word?
He resigned and the party felt he was still the best person for the job and persuaded him to stay on. Do you think if the labour party rallied around milliband and asked him to stay he would have said no? UKIP isn't full of backstabbers and career minded people unlike the other parties. |

By:
How can you say he has broken his word ?
He resigned, his party rejected it. |

There are a few Labour morons on here who said they were going, but they're still here.

Does anyone know why they chose Thanet South for Farage to challenge? I know this is after the fact, but when push comes to shove the Tory voters of Sandwich were never going to elect Nigel.

Party of complete muppets - it's only right they have someone like Nigel in charge.

Hold on though. What's all this not accepting of his resignation? How does that work in practice?
"I quit" "No you don't" "Eh? I quit" "Nope" "Seriously. I don't want this job anymore. I'm going down the pub" "No you're not" "Wtf? Listen, I'm not coming in to work tomorrow!" "You are. We'll drag you in" "But...but...this is crazy! This is madness, I tell you!" "We're sorry, Nige. We're forcing you to stay on as leader." "No...but...eh?..." Isn't the following more likely? "Listen, lads. I'm going to pretend quit, then if you beg me to stay I'll get a surge of support and look really popular." "Good plan, Nigel." And it would have worked too, if it hadn't been for that pesky cat! |

"It is frankly just not credible for me to continue to lead the party without a Westminster seat"
He promised he would not continue to lead the party without a westminster seat. He is continuing to lead the party without a westminster seat. A staged resignation does not change anything. |

good to see him back but the rumour isnt true is it? That he wanted to remain as leader of UKIP, mainly because he didn't want to spend more time with his foreign wife?

Nigel Farage has been described by his own general election campaign director as a “snarling, thin-skinned, aggressive” man who is turning Ukip into a personality cult. hours after sole MP told Farage party should refuse £650,000 from public purse
