Reasonable to assume that at that time there was someone, somewhere, 110 years old or a little older - i.e. born in 1799, which was in the 18th centruy

My great Grandfather a Russian immigrant who died in the mid 70's  told me his Grandfather used to tell him stories of his time as a soldier in the Russian Army in the 1820's, quite mind blowing that someone I had contact with spoke to someone who was living well over 200 years ago.
