SPACE boffins detected “alien signals” for 17 years – before realising they were coming from the staff microwave.

The scientists were left stumped by the strange bursts of energy, which seemed to peak during lunch hours.

They believed the signals originated from billions of light years away, possibly from two black holes or colliding neutron stars.

But their cosmic theories were proved wrong after new equipment revealed the source was their turned-on microwave with its door still open.

I would suggest that they were on the right track...they WERE alien signals from other planets.

Which just goes to show that the conceopt of pot-noodles is pretty universal! As is lunchtime.

if someone hadn't regularly been opening the microwave door to get their pot noodle out these aliens could have gone undetected for some time imo
